Department of Defence Health Centre

Value

$16M

Location

Bandiana, VIC

The Albury Wodonga Health Centre was delivered as part of the nationwide Joint Health Command Garrison Facilities Upgrade Program, providing contemporary, fit-for-purpose healthcare facilities for Australian Defence Force personnel. The design and construction comply with all current Defence policies and the Australasian Health Facility Guidelines.

The project included construction of a new health facility at South Bandiana, alongside demolition of the existing facility at Latchford Barracks. The new single-storey facility spans approximately 2,700 m² on a site of nearly 11,000 m².

Constructed with a steel frame and brick veneer, the building incorporates hospital-grade finishes throughout and is founded on a 250mm concrete slab with bored piers. The works also included a new car park and landscaped surrounds, creating a practical and accessible healthcare environment.
