Today, Joss unites award-winning construction expertise with trusted facility management services, delivering and maintaining exceptional places across NSW, the ACT and Victoria.
From concept to completion and long after handover, we’re committed to building quality, value and lasting partnerships.
OUR FOUNDERS
Colin and Lorraine Joss founded the company in 1975, starting from humble beginnings in their Albury garage with Colin on the tools and Lorraine running the office. What began as a one-man carpentry operation has now grown into the $400 million Joss Group, employing thousands of people.
Throughout their journey, the couple has remained committed to regional communities, valuing employees as family and giving back locally. Today, their sons continue the family legacy, leading the business into its next chapter.

I entered the Construction industry in 1960 as an apprentice. In 1975, together, with my wife Lorraine, CF & LM Joss Partnership was formed. With the business expanding we formed Colin Joss and Co Pty Ltd in 1988. Since then I have been fortunate to witness the business grow and diversify to become the thriving and successful organisation it is today.
I am passionate about the Albury Wodonga area and Joss Group’s involvement in many aspects of the local community.

I commenced my career with Joss Group in 1995. With many years of experience, mentoring, hard work and a dedication to the business and its growth potential I progressed to Managing Director in 2017. I am honoured to sit on various local boards including a Local University, Sporting Groups and as Chairman and Trustee of a Charitable Trust.
Together, with the Joss Group and my involvement on these respected boards and their affiliations, I believe I am able to better engage with the local community and to offer my experience and advice on matters which may affect various industries and the wider community at large.

In 1992 I commenced my career in the construction industry working on local projects. Throughout my working life I have been involved in all aspects of the industry, including project management, recruitment and development, systems development, business planning and general management.
These varied professional experiences have assisted me in developing a keen ability to look at the big picture without losing sight of the detail. Whilst now operating in an Executive Company Director role I am privileged to instil the Joss Group’s core values into our leadership teams and all of our staff members.

I have been fortunate to enjoy a highly varied career in the construction and building industry, spanning multiple disciplines and geographies both with private and international companies. My experience includes the successful delivery of major multidisciplinary projects both in Australia and in Hong Kong, covering a broad range of sectors including rail, roads, bridges, tunnels, marine works, and complex building and social infrastructure such as hospitals, correctional facilities and one-off unique projects.
I have held positions from hands-on project engineer through to executive director and have a solid understanding of people and business management, governance and leadership. Since joining Joss Group as a Non-Executive Director in 2014, I have really enjoyed providing strategic guidance, operational insight, and general management support to a dedicated and highly committed team of great people.

I have built a diverse career with 40 years in the construction, healthcare and law sectors. I began as a registered nurse at St Vincent’s Hospital, later qualifying as a lawyer and specialising in construction law at leading law firms. I then spent 10 years at Transfield Services, initially as Chief Risk & Legal Officer and then as Chief Executives of Operations where I was responsible for their facilities management, construction and project management business units. In 2016 I joined Ramsay Health Care and led operations across 74 hospitals nationwide and managed around $500m annually in brownfield and greenfield construction projects.
I have also served as CEO of Virtus Health and Vitrafy Life Sciences and am now a non-executive director of Wesfarmers Limited; aged care provider Ryman Health Care and Vitrafy Life Science. I have family in Albury, and I am really pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to the iconic Joss Group.

I have returned to Joss after 20 years of expanding my career with two national construction organisations. I began my career at Joss as a cadet and since then I have gained valuable knowledge in the construction industry in multiple roles seeing through projects of varying size and scale.
