Questions about your insurance repair?
If Joss has been appointed to assess or repair your property, the answers below explain what to expect throughout the insurance repair process.
Why is Joss attending my property?
If Joss has been appointed to assess or repair your property, the answers below explain what to expect throughout the insurance repair process.
Will the inspection be disruptive?
No. Our team will inspect and document the relevant damage carefully, respectfully and with minimal disruption.
Why has another builder contacted me about the same claim?
Insurers may ask multiple builders to inspect and quote on the same claim to help confirm scope and pricing. This is a standard part of the insurance process.
When will Joss start the repair works?
Once your claim is approved by the insurer, Joss will contact you and send through the required contract. After it has been signed and returned, your Insurance Supervisor will begin coordinating the repair works.
Why is Joss asking me to pay my excess?
Your insurer may ask Joss to collect the excess on their behalf before works proceed. This amount is then deducted from the final invoice issued to your insurer.
Who can I speak to for an update on my repairs?
You will be assigned a dedicated Insurance Supervisor who can assist with questions about your repairs. Our Insurance Administration Team is also available during business hours on 02 6051 1900.
What happens if additional damage is found during repairs?
Joss will document the additional items, prepare the required scope and pricing, and submit this information to your insurer for review.
